Jason Cohen, PA-C

Jason was born in Pompton Plains, NJ, and raised in South Florida. He graduated from the University of Michigan where he studied sports medicine and worked directly with many of the University of Michigan collegiate sports teams as well as earning consecutive NFL summer internships with the New York Giants and Green Bay Packers. After graduating from Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Jason received his first Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Eastern Michigan University. Following his Master’s degree, he was employed by the Miami Dolphins as a seasonal assistant Athletic Trainer.

In 2011, Jason was accepted into a 1-year Athletic Training Fellowship program at Ochsner Sports Medicine to transition into a surgical first assistant role. He was hired following his 1-year fellowship and worked as a first assistant to the team physicians for the New Orleans Saints. Jason earned his Master’s of Medical Science degree in May 2016 from Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge.

He currently resides in Madisonville with his wife Jennifer and three daughters. Jason is nationally certified, as well as licensed and board certified in the state of Louisiana. He is also certified in Robotic-Assisted Joint Replacement Surgery.
