
Dr. Matthew L. Cutrer is double board certified in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Interventional Pain Medicine. A native New Orleanian, Dr. Cutrer is passionate about serving his community with a patient-centered, highly specialized approach to treating acute and chronic pain in patients of all ages.
After graduating from Jesuit High School, Dr. Cutrer attended the University of Mississippi, where he competed for the Rebels on both the cross country and rugby teams. Dr. Cutrer earned his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he also completed an internship in General Surgery and residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He went on to complete fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. In addition to his medical training, he also holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola University College of Law.
Dr. Cutrer’s clinical practice focuses on minimally invasive, evidence-based procedures designed to restore function and reduce pain while minimizing recovery time. His expertise includes targeted injections, peripheral and spinal neuromodulation, and other advanced interventional techniques for a broad range of neurological and musculoskeletal pain conditions. He treats patients of all ages, from adolescent athletes to adults managing complex chronic pain.
